I studied visual art as an elective in my senior years of secondary education. It is still one of my interest to enjoy art. Hope you could have some fun while enjoying my works!

Art Work Series - Grandma

The series of artwork were inspired by my grandma who pass away in 2015. She is one of my closest family member on the world. Her death is really a big trauma for me. I have create a few pieces of work to remember her and each work represent the different stage I spent with her.

Hands

The above pieces represented the time after my grandma get Alzheimer’s disease. The sickness made her became very different from my impression which in the past she was always the one to take care me but after she was sick, I became the one who take care of her.

Messages

The last work means that last stage of the time with my grandma. It is my grandma’s death.  She was the first family member to leave me, to let me understand what death mean. Her death teach me how to face all negative emotions.

Brother and I

In 2017, I was very honored to be shortlisted in the Outstanding Student Artists Award. In 2018, there was an aftershow of the shortlisted students and this was my word for the exhibition.

This work is talking about the difference between my brother and I. I am always curious why my brother and I can be so different even we are born in the same family with the same blood and I think it could be an interesting idea to talk about this. Therefore, I have asked 10 of our family (parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, and cousins) of the difference between the two of us and let them written down on a memo. Then I have drawn the differences out referring to each memo.

Photography

Still Life

This series of photos was an assignment of still life photography. I personally like this series of still life photos a lot. The colors and the characteristic of the paper clips have given me a lot of space of imagination. To create different stories of the paper clips.I also enjoy the feel that I can make so daily life objects becoming more interesting and beautiful. Besides, I feel I have enhanced my skills on composition and story telling.

Besides, I improved my photo composition skills by using tapes of different colors. This unique approach helped me add vibrant elements and create eye-catching contrasts in my compositions.

Portrait

This series of photos was a portrait photography assignment of a group project. One of my group mates has suggested using the technique of multiple exposures. I was taking role in photographer. During the testing, I found that the translucent white dress of the model and the black background had caused a great contrast, which could create a mysterious beauty. Thus, the dress could also maximize the characteristics of multiple exposures.
